I have tried to lose weight and get in shape so many times in my life.  I feel like I have tried everything without getting results or anything that lasts.  I have now done boot camp at Rage Fitness 2 times and the most important thing that I have learned is that there is no substitute for a proper diet and exercise. The first time I participated in Boot Camp was in February of 2011.  I was so pleased with my results, in 4 weeks I lost 9 lbs and 10 inches.  After that month was over I continued to work out with Kenny in his Pro-fit class but I returned to my old eating habits. 
I decided to do boot camp again last month to jump start my weight loss and help me get some good eating habits back in my life. I love the accountability that boot camp gives me and the help that Kenny gives along the way.  He gave me all the tools and knowledge that I needed to get results.  This second time in boot camp I lost 14 lbs and 11 inches overall!  The weight and inches lost are just the beginning of what boot camp has helped me achieve in my life.  I have more energy now and I feel  better than ever!  It helped me finally have the accountability and desire to quit drinking 32 plus oz. of Dr. Pepper a day and given me the motivation to plan and prepare meals ahead of time to take to work so that I avoid the drive through. I do hair full time and I am on my feet all day and when I am exercising and eating right my days aren’t as long and as hard on my feet and my back.  I feel stronger  and healthier than I ever have and I now know that it has just as much to do with my work outs as what I put inside my body. 
For the first time I am excited to work out and I can always count on getting a great workout and encouragement from Kenny at Rage Fitness.

RAGE BOOT CAMP

     Beginning 2012, Rage Fitness is making changes to the best Boot Camp program that Utah has to offer. Students will have the opportunity to train 5 days per week, (Mon. thru Fri.) for 4 weeks at the regular price of $300 or 3 days per week, (Mon., Wed., and Fri.) at $180.
     All prior students are still able to attend at the cost of $100.

Varying degrees of bodyfat percentage for men and women

When people hear the term “body fat percentage”, they normally associate the term with professional bodybuilders. This is because much ado is made about low body in body building circles. Professionals must have a very low body fat percentage (5% or so) in order to compete. While this raises awareness towards developing low body fat, it also creates a somewhat limited perception. Body fat percentage means different things on different levels. Actually, 5% body fat can cause serious health problems for the average person. Conversely, 25% fat can either be healthy or unhealthy depending upon your age and gender. In order to provide clarity, it's best to look at a scale of body fat percentages and what they represent.

It is important to note the differences between men and women when it comes to determining healthy body fat percentages. Mainly, women are healthier with higher body fat percentages than men. This is because women require higher fat levels for safe pregnancy. As a result, different body fat percentages will be provided with the same health assessment for both genders.

For women between age 20 and 40, 19% to 26% body fat is generally good to excellent. For women age 40+ to 60+, 23% to 30% is considered good to excellent.

For men between age 20 and 40, 10% to 20% body fat is generally good to excellent. For men age 40+ to 60+, 19% to 23% is considered good to excellent.

If the body fat percentages for both age groups are higher than the highest listed healthy percentage or lower than the lowest healthy percentage, the result may be considered fair or poor. As such, seeking a way to lose fat is necessary. Fat loss is not that difficult, but does require some sort of exercise program, diets alone will not help with fat loss.
